About The Position

Cascadia Global Security is hiring a part-time Armed School Security Officer in Georgetown, Texas. The role is based in a school environment and requires additional screenings, training, and background checks. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., at $23 per hour. Daily pay options are available, with payout potentially as soon as the next day.

The officer will help maintain a safe and professional school environment by controlling access, patrolling and supervising campus grounds, enforcing campus rules, deterring theft and vandalism, and watching for suspicious people or activity. The position also includes reporting safety and maintenance concerns, completing administrative documentation, and maintaining uniform and grooming standards. A company-marked vehicle may be provided for patrols to candidates with an exemplary driving history; patrols may also be conducted on foot.

Requirements

• Basic computer skills and report-writing experience.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check.
• Comfort working with children and teenagers.
• Ability to handle stressful situations and emergencies.
• At least 21 years of age.
• Provide body armor, including a tactical outer carrier or concealed inner carrier and Level IIIA+ soft armor.
• Provide a duty belt with MOLLE attachments, OC spray, handcuffs, and a baton.
• Provide a personal duty weapon and at least two spare magazines.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of armed security experience.
• Valid driver's license.
• Level 3 (Armed) Security License.

Nice To Haves

• One year of customer service experience.
• Previous law enforcement officer or military experience.
• CPR training.

Responsibilities

• Control access to the school campus.
• Investigate and report maintenance and safety conditions that may endanger the client, associates, or public safety.
• Conduct patrols in a company-marked vehicle when assigned and when driving-history criteria are met.
• Conduct foot patrols to maintain visibility and observe unusual activity at client facilities.
• Deter theft and vandalism.
• Provide the client, associates, and facility personnel with a safe and professional work environment.
• Enforce campus rules and regulations.
• Safeguard school grounds from suspicious people and activity.
• Patrol and supervise the school campus.
• Keep daily administrative documentation concise and complete.
• Maintain uniform attire and grooming standards while in uniform.
• Perform other related duties as required.
