About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Armed Security Officer to patrol a private school campus in Irvine, California. The role serves and safeguards the school community by maintaining a visible security presence, monitoring campus areas, and responding professionally to security concerns. The officer provides customer service and clear communication to students, staff, visitors, and other campus community members while following site-specific procedures and policies.

The position is scheduled for the day shift, Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., and pays $34.00 per hour. Applicants are subject to a background investigation and, where permitted by law, a drug screen. Industry-specific security training is required. Licensing requirements may apply under state or local law.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and campus community members while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of campus buildings, parking areas, athletic facilities, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and professionally, following site procedures and applicable laws.
• Monitor access to campus locations, verify authorized entry when required, and report suspicious activity, hazards, or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Accurately document observations, incidents, and patrol activity, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.
