About The Position

Cascadia Global Security is hiring a full-time Armed School Security Officer in Odessa, Texas. The role is based in a school environment and requires additional screenings, training, and background checks. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 0745–1700, and pay is $25 per hour. Daily pay options are available, with payout potentially as soon as the next day.

The officer will help maintain a safe and professional school environment by controlling access, patrolling and supervising campus, enforcing campus rules, deterring theft and vandalism, and safeguarding school grounds from suspicious people and activity. Duties include identifying and reporting maintenance or safety conditions that could endanger the client, associates, or public; completing concise and accurate administrative documentation; and maintaining uniform and grooming standards. Patrols may be conducted on foot or in a company-marked vehicle, provided the candidate has an exemplary driving history.

Candidates must be comfortable working with children and teenagers and able to handle stressful situations and emergencies. The position requires a Level 3 armed security license, a driver's license, a high school education or equivalent, and at least one year of armed security experience. The officer must provide their own duty weapon with at least two spare magazines and specified protective and duty equipment.

Requirements

• Basic computer skills and report-writing experience.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check.
• Comfort working with children and teenagers.
• Ability to handle stressful situations and emergencies.
• At least 21 years of age.
• High school education or equivalent.
• At least one year of armed security experience.
• Valid driver's license.
• Level 3 (Armed) Security License.
• Provide own duty weapon with at least two spare magazines.
• Provide body armor and equipment: tactical outer carrier, concealed inner carrier, 3a+ soft armor, duty belt with MOLLE attachments, OC spray, handcuffs, and a baton.

Nice To Haves

• One year of customer service experience.
• Previous law enforcement officer or military experience.
• CPR training.

Responsibilities

• Control access.
• Investigate and report maintenance and safety conditions that may endanger the client, its associates, or public safety.
• Conduct assigned patrols in a company-marked vehicle when the candidate has an exemplary driving history, or patrol on foot to maintain visibility and observe unusual activity at client facilities.
• Deter theft and vandalism.
• Provide the client, its associates, and facility personnel with a safe and professional work environment.
• Enforce campus rules and regulations.
• Safeguard school grounds from suspicious people and activity.
• Patrol and supervise the school campus.
• Keep daily administrative documentation concise and complete.
• Maintain uniform attire and grooming standards while in uniform.
• Perform other related duties as required.
