About The Position

KRE Security, LLC is seeking a dependable, professional Armed School Security Officer to help maintain a safe and secure learning environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors. The role is based in Elliottsburg, Pennsylvania, pays $22.00 per hour, and follows a consistent Monday–Friday schedule from 7:15 AM to 3:45 PM. Full-time employment is during the school year, with potential summer employment based on performance and operational needs. Overtime is paid after 40 hours worked, and military and retired law enforcement applicants receive an additional $0.25 per hour. Employees working 30 or more hours per week are eligible for benefits. Paid time off accrues up to 40 hours after the probationary period. Candidates must successfully complete interviews with both KRE Security, LLC and the client before placement. The client contract also requires attendance at school events, sports, and meetings as requested by the district, so some additional hours should be expected.

Requirements

Valid Pennsylvania Act 235 Certification.
High school diploma or GED.
Pennsylvania State Police criminal background check.
Pennsylvania Child Abuse Clearance.
FBI fingerprint clearance.
Reliable transportation and a valid Pennsylvania Driver's License.
Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods.
Professional appearance, sound judgment, and strong communication skills.
Successful completion of interviews with KRE Security, LLC and the client before placement.

Responsibilities

Maintain a visible armed security presence on school property.
Conduct interior and exterior patrols of the campus.
Monitor entrances and verify visitors.
Enforce school safety policies and follow emergency procedures.
Respond professionally to emergencies and security incidents.
Maintain accurate daily activity logs and incident reports.
Coordinate with school administration and local law enforcement as needed.
Help protect students, staff, and visitors while supporting a safe learning environment.
Attend school events, sports, and meetings as requested by the district.
