About The Position

KRE Security, LLC is seeking a dependable, professional Armed School Security Officer to help maintain a safe and secure learning environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors. The position is located in Elliottsburg, Pennsylvania, pays $22.00 per hour, and follows a Monday–Friday schedule from 7:15 AM to 3:45 PM. It is full-time during the school year, with potential summer employment based on performance and operational needs. The client contract also requires attendance at school events, sports, and meetings as requested by the district, so additional hours should be expected. Candidates must successfully complete an interview with both KRE Security, LLC and the client before placement. Employees working 30 or more hours per week are eligible for benefits. Paid time off accrues up to 40 hours beginning after the probationary period. Overtime is paid after 40 hours worked, and military and retired law enforcement personnel receive an additional $0.25 per hour.

Requirements

Valid Pennsylvania Act 235 Certification.
High school diploma or GED.
Pennsylvania State Police criminal background check.
Pennsylvania Child Abuse Clearance.
FBI fingerprint clearance.
Reliable transportation and a valid Pennsylvania Driver's License.
Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods.
Professional appearance, sound judgment, and strong communication skills.
Successfully complete an interview with both KRE Security, LLC and the client before placement.

Responsibilities

Maintain a visible armed security presence on school property.
Conduct interior and exterior patrols of the campus.
Monitor entrances and verify visitors.
Enforce school safety policies and follow emergency procedures.
Respond professionally to emergencies and security incidents.
Maintain accurate daily activity logs and incident reports.
Coordinate with school administration and local law enforcement as needed.
Help protect students, staff, and visitors while supporting a safe learning environment.
Attend school events, sports, and meetings as requested by the district.
