About The Position

The Arkansas State Golf Association (ASGA) is seeking a well-rounded individual for a three-month internship in golf administration, focused on championship administration. The intern will assist ASGA staff with State Championships for men, women, and juniors; USGA qualifying; and other ASGA membership and service programs. The intern will work directly as an ASGA staff member for the duration of the internship.

The position includes championship administration, website updates, data entry, mailings, course site visits, and tournament setup. Training will be provided in Golf Genius tournament management software, GHIN, and other facets of golf administration. The role involves long hours during championship days and occasional weekend work. Applicants must be willing to travel within Arkansas and have reliable transportation.

Requirements

• College degree completed or in progress.
• Willingness to work in a team-oriented structure with an emphasis on customer service.
• Willingness to travel within the state and access to reliable transportation.
• Excellent communication and public relations skills.
• Outstanding writing and editing skills.
• Strong work ethic and self-motivation.
• Planning a career in sports administration or a related field.
• Strong computer skills.

• Experience in photography, video, social media, and related programs.
• Golf background or strong interest in golf.

Responsibilities
