About The Position

Brookfield Residential, a leading North American land developer and homebuilder for over 65 years, is seeking an Area Sales Manager for the Austin/Dallas area. This role is responsible for training and supporting the onsite sales team, working closely with sales/marketing, construction, and sales leadership. The Area Manager is expected to have a strong understanding of sales systems and processes to improve efficiency, manage tasks from start to finish, and lead a team. This position will directly manage on-site sales team members in assistant or training roles and will take on special projects as assigned by the VP of Sales and Marketing.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience selling new homes
  • Extensive knowledge of home building industry, sales, construction and closing process
  • Demonstrate strong organizational and auditing skills to effectively manage multiple priorities, maintain accuracy, and ensure timely completion of assignments
  • Ability to multi-task and monitor deadlines
  • Willingness to handle additional duties, as assigned
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM sales programs (i.e. SalesForce)

Responsibilities

  • Establishing and maintaining a process for new hires related to initial onboarding and a training schedule for each onsite sales position.
  • Creating and maintaining an ongoing training and refresher schedule for existing team members.
  • Maintaining a library of training materials and trainer videos.
  • Serving as the primary point of contact and subject matter expert for the sales team, providing guidance and troubleshooting for sales-related questions and system issues.
  • Supporting the effective use of NSS/NSE, Salesforce, and other sales platforms through ongoing training, process improvements, and participation in corporate user groups and meetings.
  • Providing administrative and event coordination support to the VP of Sales & Marketing by organizing meetings, managing logistics, coordinating team-building events, and communicating key information to the sales team.
  • Ensuring each sales meeting is recorded and following up with a short recap along with any documents or assignments for the week.
  • Attending and helping manage all onsite events, ensuring the sales team understands their role and is performing as intended.
  • Coordinating and attending all trade shows (with help and direction from marketing).
  • Giving monthly CX updates in sales meetings.
  • Reviewing and approving all sales commissions regularly.
  • Communicating updates and acting as a liaison between sales and the accounting department.
  • Keeping regular track of loan statuses and contingencies.
  • Working closely with the sales team to ensure they have provided weekly updates.
  • Providing loan training and contingency tracking updates weekly.
  • Taking an active role in assisting the sales team to rectify loan and contingency issues.
  • Providing overrides on the weekend and as needed during the week.
  • Managing and maintaining the sales office coverage calendar to ensure all offices are staffed and open as intended.
  • Coordinating coverage for sales offices as needed.
  • Hiring temps as needed and providing coverage personally as needed.
  • Ensuring the sales vacation calendar is kept up to date, and all necessary parties are informed of absences.
  • Visiting sites and sales offices regularly and providing a monthly schedule of visits.
  • Performing audits of sales offices/communities during visits and communicating needs back to the office team and other departments.
  • Acting as sales department representative for CREW.
  • Sharing information with the Sales and Marketing team related to CX initiatives.
  • Ensuring departments are participating appropriately.
  • Reviewing surveys weekly and following up with sales (and other departments as needed) to address concerns, ensure comments are added, and a plan for improvement is in place.
  • Giving monthly updates to sales management on regional KPIs, individual team member and project performance, and any items that need highlighted or addressed.
  • Processing and tracking CX quarterly bonuses for the sales team.
  • Reviewing live comments on website/online sites and coordinating with marketing on response plans.
