About The Position

Community Concierge Services (CCS), which provides doorstep waste and recycling collection for apartment communities, is seeking a hands-on Area Operations Manager to lead employees, service quality, and client relationships within an assigned district. The role involves supporting operations across multiple apartment communities and regularly traveling between properties and markets. CCS has more than 700 employees and serves over 175,000 apartment homes each night. The position combines evening field leadership with daytime recruiting, administrative work, and client communication. Peak operating hours are 6 p.m. to midnight, and evening and weekend availability is essential because service operates seven days a week. The manager arranges coverage for call-offs and no-shows and personally covers routes when other options are exhausted. The fieldwork is physical and includes extended walking, repeated stair climbing, carrying bagged trash, and working outdoors. Daytime flexibility depends on completing responsibilities and operational needs; service or staffing issues may require work beyond typical operating hours. This is a full-time role that cannot be performed alongside another full-time job. The manager recruits, hires, onboards, trains, coaches, and supports part-time collection employees; oversees nightly service execution; conducts community visits and audits; responds to staffing and service interruptions; and manages client communication, payroll, service reports, and employee documentation. The role also supports new community launches, including staffing, equipment distribution, and resident information. Compensation is a $70,000 annual base salary paid biweekly, with an opportunity for a $5,000 annual performance-based bonus paid quarterly. A company vehicle is provided for work-related use, with fuel and maintenance covered.

  • Comfort using mobile apps and basic computer systems for reporting, scheduling, and payroll.
  • Evening and weekend availability; service operates seven days a week.
  • Ability to arrange coverage for employee call-offs and personally cover routes when necessary.
  • Full-time commitment; the role cannot be performed alongside another full-time job.
