The expected starting base pay range for this position is $67,200 - $84,000, with a full potential base salary range over a successful candidate’s tenure in the position of $84,000 - $100,800. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, internal equity, and other job-related factors.

Requirements

  • GED/Diploma required
  • A minimum of 2 years of industry experience – (ex. logistics, shipping, 3PL)
  • At least 1 year of demonstrated leadership experience
  • Ability to effectively evaluate and summarize data and present answers to questions
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft office and mathematical skills
  • Effective communication skills including the ability to give honest, constructive feedback
  • Experience with hiring, training, motivating, disciplining, and completing performance evaluations for employees

Nice To Haves

  • BA/BS college degree in related discipline preferred

Responsibilities

  • Manage, staff and schedule a team of Package Handlers and Lead Package Handlers in an assigned area in the facility to ensure quality standards while maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Monitor employee progress, provide ongoing feedback, identify areas for improvement, and address performance/attendance.
  • Conduct pre-sort meetings, keeping employees informed of daily goals, upcoming events, and safety priorities.
  • Maintain an open line of communication to engage employees.
  • Record and manage the departures/arrivals of and the flow of volume from designated Linehauls.
  • Execute various administrative duties, including but not limited to, safety training, operational audits, and end of shift reporting.
  • Learn and follow all safety regulations and job instructions to perform primary duties effectively.
  • Apply knowledge of OSHA requirements in daily work practices.
  • Maintain a flexible schedule to support 24-hour operations, including extended hours, weekends, and holidays when needed.
  • Stay dependable and adaptable as business needs, staffing needs, and workload shifts.
  • Report directly to the Operations Manager of the facility and be responsible for managing all the sort activities and volume within an assigned area.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and implement change to enhance business outcomes within the operation.
