About The Position

The Area Manager, Procurement is responsible for maintaining quality and safety standards in their assigned area of responsibility. This includes ensuring associates are trained on Logistics and company policies, monitoring compliance, and distributing procedures. The role involves supervising and developing associates and leaders by assigning duties, coordinating workloads, monitoring performance, and providing feedback. The Area Manager will teach, support, and model company policies, identify training needs, and participate in hiring, promotion, coaching, teaching, and evaluation of staff. They will also monitor and manage productivity by analyzing business reports, resolving customer and supplier concerns, and implementing the business plan for their area. This position serves as the primary point between the organization and vendors, resolving routine supplier issues and escalating non-routine ones. They will research alternative vendors, participate in supplier selection, and ensure purchases meet delivery dates and quality specifications. The role also involves suggesting process improvements, participating in requirements analysis for process changes, and gathering data for business process analysis. Contract management, budget reporting, and expense management are also key responsibilities. The Area Manager will demonstrate expertise in developing and executing action plans, building partnerships with stakeholders, and implementing business solutions. They will model compliance with company policies and values, fostering a culture of integrity and respect. Requirements

  • Associate's degree in business, logistics, or related area and 1 year’s supervisory experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, logistics, or related area.

  • Demonstrates uptodate expertise and applies this to the development execution and improvement of action plans by providing expert advice and guidance to others in the application of information and best practices supporting and aligning efforts to meet customer and business needs and building commitment for perspectives and rationales
  • Provides and supports the implementation of business solutions by building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders identifying business needs determining and carrying out necessary processes and practices monitoring progress and results recognizing and capitalizing on improvement opportunities and adapting to competing demands organizational changes and new responsibilities
  • Models compliance with company policies and procedures and supports company mission values and standards of ethics and integrity by incorporating these into the development and implementation of business plans using the Open Door Policy and demonstrating and assisting others with how to apply these in executing business processes and practices
