About The Position

The Energy-Based Devices business focuses on technologies used for tissue dissection, vessel sealing, and procedural efficiency across a broad range of surgical specialties. This portfolio is closely connected to operating room (OR) workflows and supports surgeons with technologies designed to enhance precision, consistency, and efficiency during procedures. The role provides exposure to clinical environments, key customer accounts, and a product portfolio that plays a critical role in everyday surgical practice. This position is based in Bangalore, India and follows a remote work model with responsibility for managing the assigned territory. Extensive travel is required to support customer engagement, operating room coverage, product evaluations, educational activities, and account development initiatives. The Area Manager - EBD is responsible for driving territory growth through execution of sales strategies, customer relationship management, operating room support, and focus product adoption within assigned accounts. This role partners with surgeons, healthcare professionals, channel partners, and key stakeholders to achieve sales objectives while supporting clinical education and product utilization.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma (or equivalent) AND 8+ years’ experience OR Associate’s Degree AND 6+ years’ experience OR Bachelor’s Degree AND 4+ years’ experience.
  • Experience selling Electro Cautery / Advanced Electro Cautery Machines , surgical technologies, or other operating room-focused medical devices.
  • Experience managing sales targets, customer relationships, and territory performance in a healthcare-related commercial role.
  • Experience supporting clinical environments and interacting with healthcare professionals in hospitals or surgical settings.
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and sales reporting tools.

  • Experience selling Energy-Based Devices, surgical technologies, or other operating room-focused medical devices.
  • Experience providing product support or assisting surgeons during procedures in operating rooms.
  • Demonstrated success managing key accounts and influencing product adoption across multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve monthly and quarterly secondary sales targets across the assigned territory.
  • Drive focus product sales performance through customer engagement, product demonstrations, evaluations, and clinical support activities.
  • Build and maintain relationships with surgeons, healthcare professionals, purchasing stakeholders, and key decision-makers within assigned accounts.
  • Provide operating room support and clinical assistance during procedures involving Energy-Based Devices products.
  • Develop and execute account plans for priority customers, including key account profiling and territory growth strategies.
  • Collect and analyse market intelligence, including competitor activity, product utilization trends, and procedural volume data.
  • Coordinate continuing medical education (CME) programs and approved customer engagement initiatives in partnership with marketing and regional leadership.
  • Maintain accurate and timely reporting of sales activities, customer interactions, forecasts, and business trackers.
