Full-Time Archery & Firearm Technician

About The Position

The Archery & Firearm Technician follows customer requests carefully while meeting safety requirements. The role services bows by setting them up with accessories, tuning and repairing them, and stringing them. The technician explains repairs and recommends ongoing maintenance, maintains an orderly and immaculate work area, attends required sales and product-knowledge training, answers customer questions about merchandise location, price, and use, stocks merchandise, contacts vendors about repair-part orders, and assists with customer trade-ins. Compensation starts at $21 per hour.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED, or three months of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Ability to perform the listed physical activities, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Ability to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, up to 50 pounds frequently, and up to 20 pounds constantly to move objects.
Ability to regularly exert 50–80 pounds of pulling force.

Responsibilities

Follow customer requests carefully while maintaining safety requirements.
Set up bows with accessories, tune and repair bows, and string bows.
Explain the repair process and provide suggestions for ongoing maintenance.
Maintain an orderly and immaculate personal workspace, archery bench, back-stock space, and surrounding areas.
Attend sales and product-knowledge training meetings when required.
Answer questions about merchandise location, price, and use.
Stock shelves, counters, or tables with merchandise.
Contact vendors to order and follow up on repair-part orders.
Assist with customer trade-ins.
Follow safety procedures and perform duties in a way that minimizes injury risk.
