About The Position

The Part-Time Archery & Firearm Technician follows customer requests and safety requirements while providing bow setup, tuning, repair, and stringing services. The technician explains repair processes and offers suggestions for ongoing maintenance. The role also includes maintaining an orderly and clean workspace and surrounding areas, attending sales and product knowledge training when required, answering customer questions about merchandise location, price, and use, stocking merchandise, contacting vendors about repair parts, and assisting with customer trade-ins.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED, or three months of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Ability to sit, stand, bend at the waist, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push or pull, lift, talk, and hear, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, up to 50 pounds frequently, and up to 20 pounds constantly to move objects.
• Ability to exert 50–80 pounds of pulling force regularly.

Responsibilities

• Follow customer-specific instructions while maintaining safety requirements.
• Set up bows with accessories, tune bows, repair bows, and string bows.
• Explain repair processes and provide suggestions for ongoing maintenance.
• Maintain an orderly and immaculate personal workspace, archery bench, back stock space, and surrounding areas.
• Attend sales and product knowledge training meetings when required.
• Answer questions about merchandise location, price, and use.
• Stock shelves, counters, or tables with merchandise.
• Contact vendors to order and follow up on repair part orders.
• Assist with customer trade-ins.
• Follow safety procedures and perform job duties in a manner that minimizes risk of injury.
