About The Position

Apex Entertainment is hiring a full-time Arcade/Game Technician at its Albany, New York location. The technician maintains, repairs, and troubleshoots arcade machines and related equipment so they operate reliably and provide guests with a positive entertainment experience. The role includes preventative maintenance, installations and calibrations, inventory management, reporting, and maintaining an orderly and safe arcade and workspace. The technician also supports facility tasks and works with other departments to ensure smooth operations.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid driver's license or reliable transportation.
• Ability to lift and move more than 50 pounds.
• Strong troubleshooting, technical, and organizational skills.
• Flexible availability, including days, nights, and weekends.

Nice To Haves

• Mechanical or arcade maintenance background preferred.
• Previous experience repairing arcade games is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair arcade game malfunctions, software issues, wiring problems, and hardware failures.
• Perform corrective maintenance to minimize downtime and extend machine life.
• Record daily repairs and maintenance tasks for tracking and compliance.
• Conduct scheduled preventative maintenance to maintain machine functionality and visual appeal.
• Install and calibrate card readers and upgraded components on arcade machines.
• Follow detailed maintenance schedules to ensure machines meet standards.
• Monitor and manage arcade parts inventory and equipment supplies.
• Run weekly and monthly payout percentage calibrations.
• Order, receive, and install replacement parts as needed.
• Keep the arcade and technician workspace clean and organized.
• Ensure machines are clean, filled, and ready for guest use.
• Organize spare parts and tools for efficient access and repairs.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment.
• Update logs and checklists for daily, weekly, monthly, and annual inspections.
• Assist with additional facility tasks as directed by management.
• Collaborate with other departments to support smooth operations.
