About The Position

Bartlett Tree Experts is hiring a full-time Arborist Representative to develop and maintain long-term client relationships and grow business within a defined territory. The role combines arboriculture expertise with sales and client service. The representative visits residential and commercial properties, assesses tree and shrub care needs, and provides scientific recommendations. The position is based in Denville, New Jersey.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of related tree care industry experience or prior sales experience.
• ISA Arborist Certification or the ability to obtain certification.
• Ability to learn to identify regional trees and shrubs, diagnose pests and diseases, and recommend corrective action or proactive management plans.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• A degree in Arboriculture, Forestry, Horticulture, Turfgrass, Environmental Science, Plant Science, Outdoor Recreation, Agriculture, or a related field is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Handle sales across a defined territory, including selling, marketing, customer service, administration, production, and training.
• Meet daily with existing and potential residential and commercial clients to evaluate tree and shrub care needs.
• Establish, develop, and maintain positive business and client relationships within the territory.
• Prepare and provide client proposals using sales process tools, software, and other technologies.
• Supervise work to ensure jobs are completed according to the signed contract and to the client’s satisfaction.
• Set personal sales expectations with the immediate supervisor and work toward sales goals.
• Implement and enforce safety, transportation, and pesticide compliance programs.
