About The Position

Bartlett Tree Experts is seeking a full-time Arborist Representative to join its growing team. The role combines arboriculture with client relationship development and contributes to business growth by building and maintaining long-term client relationships. The representative visits residential and commercial properties, evaluates tree and shrub care needs, and provides scientific recommendations. The position is based in White River Junction, Vermont, and covers a defined territory.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of related experience in the tree care industry or prior sales experience.
• ISA Arborist Certification or the ability to obtain it.
• Ability to learn to identify regional trees and shrubs, diagnose pests and diseases, and recommend corrective actions or proactive management plans.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• A degree in Arboriculture, Forestry, Horticulture, Turfgrass, Environmental Science, Plant Science, Outdoor Recreation, Agriculture, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Manage all sales activities within a defined territory, including selling, marketing, customer service, administration, production, and training.
• Meet daily with existing and prospective residential and commercial clients to evaluate their tree and shrub care needs.
• Establish, develop, and maintain positive business and client relationships within the territory.
• Prepare and present client proposals using sales process tools, software, and other technologies.
• Supervise work to ensure jobs are completed according to signed contracts and to clients’ satisfaction.
• Set sales expectations with the immediate supervisor and work to meet sales goals.
• Implement and enforce safety, transportation, and pesticide compliance programs.
