About The Position

Bartlett Tree Experts is seeking a full-time Arborist Representative to develop and maintain long-term client relationships and help grow the business. The role combines arboriculture expertise with sales and client service. The representative visits residential and commercial properties, assesses tree and shrub care needs, and provides scientific recommendations. The position is based in Simsbury, Connecticut, and includes responsibility for sales and related operations within a defined territory.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of related experience in the tree care industry or prior sales experience.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check.
• ISA Arborist Certification or ability to obtain certification.
• Ability to learn to identify regional trees and shrubs, diagnose pests and diseases, and recommend corrective actions or proactive management plans.
• Valid driver's license and clean motor vehicle record.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• A degree in Arboriculture, Forestry, Horticulture, Turfgrass, Environmental Science, Plant Science, Outdoor Recreation, Agriculture, or a related field is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Manage all sales activities within a defined territory, including selling, marketing, customer service, administration, production, and training.
• Meet daily with existing and prospective residential and commercial clients to assess tree and shrub care needs.
• Establish, develop, and maintain positive business and client relationships within the territory.
• Prepare and provide client proposals using sales process tools, software, and other technologies.
• Supervise work to ensure jobs follow the signed contract and meet client expectations.
• Set sales expectations with the immediate supervisor and work toward sales goals.
• Implement and enforce safety, transportation, and pesticide compliance programs.
