About The Position

Bartlett Tree Experts is seeking a full-time Arborist Representative to join its team in Palo Alto, California. The role combines arboriculture knowledge and sales to build and maintain long-term client relationships and help grow the business. The representative visits residential and commercial properties, assesses tree and shrub care needs, and provides scientific recommendations. The position covers all sales activities within a defined territory and includes overseeing work to ensure it is completed according to the signed contract and to the client's satisfaction.

Requirements

1–3 years of related experience in the tree care industry or prior sales experience.
ISA Arborist Certification or the ability to obtain it.
Ability to learn to identify regional trees and shrubs, diagnose pests and diseases, and recommend corrective actions or proactive management plans.
Valid driver's license.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

A degree in Arboriculture, Forestry, Horticulture, Turfgrass, Environmental Science, Plant Science, Outdoor Recreation, Agriculture, or a related field.

Responsibilities

Manage all sales activities within a defined territory, including selling, marketing, customer service, administration, production, and training.
Meet daily with existing and prospective residential and commercial clients to evaluate their tree and shrub care needs.
Establish, develop, and maintain positive business and client relationships within the territory.
Prepare and provide proposals using sales process tools, software, and other technologies.
Supervise work to ensure it is completed according to the signed contract and to the client's satisfaction.
Set sales expectations with the immediate supervisor and work to meet sales goals.
Implement and enforce safety, transportation, and pesticide compliance programs.
