About The Position

The Arbitration Specialist helps protect Carvana from unnecessary costs while ensuring fair outcomes with auctions, sellers, and reconditioning partners. The role reviews vehicle condition data, validates information against NAAA guidelines, and submits well-documented arbitration claims. It calls for strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and communication and negotiation abilities to reach fair resolutions that support customers and the business.

Requirements

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to negotiate with multiple stakeholders.
Ability to manage multiple cases in a fast-paced environment.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Pass a complete background check.

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with Jira and Tableau.
Understanding of NAAA arbitration policies and auction processes; training is provided if needed.

Responsibilities

Submit and manage NAAA, Title, and Logistics arbitration claims accurately and promptly.
Compare and validate information from reconditioning departments against Vehicle Condition Reports, manufacturer warranties, and NAAA arbitration policies.
Gather, analyze, and interpret data to determine claim eligibility and make arbitration recommendations.
Negotiate transparent resolutions with auctions, sellers, and internal partners.
Maintain detailed, accurate case records for documentation and audit readiness.
Collaborate with Reconditioning, Purchasing, Accounting, and Operations teams to resolve issues.
Track and report arbitration performance metrics and identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
