About The Position

ADESA, a Carvana-owned company, operates over 50 locations across the US, providing vehicle services like repair, reconditioning, and auction remarketing. Our inventory is vast, and we foster a "we" versus "I" culture. The industry is fun, fast-paced, and competitive. ADESA is poised for significant expansion with investments in facilities, sales growth, and inventory. This role reports to the General Manager or a designated manager. The primary responsibility is to resolve differences between buyers and sellers arising from auction block representations. This involves researching issues and recommending decisions on post-sale matters. The position requires adherence to company policies, procedures, and federal laws.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Basic computer skills are required
  • Effective communication skills required
  • Must be qualified to operate a motor vehicle and possess a valid driver license

Nice To Haves

  • One (1) year of mechanical experience is preferred
  • At least three (3) years of auto auction experience preferred
  • Basic Mechanical and Body Shop knowledge preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service by ensuring prompt, efficient, and courteous attention to customers.
  • Maintain a professional appearance, orderly work environment, and friendly disposition.
  • Handle all aspects of customer complaints or disputes, resolving them in a friendly and courteous manner, and advising management of serious issues.
  • Resolve arbitration differences politely and distinctly, ensuring customers are aware of sale regulations.
  • Recommend new customer services and procedures to management.
  • Enforce and communicate arbitration policy and procedure.
  • Maintain good communication with management and office personnel.
  • Ensure proper follow-through on all directives, bulletins, schedules, and accounting.
  • Understand and enforce the auction’s arbitration policies and procedures.
  • Perform customer arbitration transactions promptly and courteously.
  • Research and recommend resolutions for post-sale issues (e.g., mechanical repairs, transportation costs).
  • Communicate final decisions to customers and coordinate the post-sale process.
  • Coordinate third-party inspections and perform proper recordkeeping.
  • May perform some accounts receivable duties.
  • Practice proper loss prevention and reaction procedures.
  • Maintain a safe work environment for employees and customers, responding to accidents and property damage according to policy.
  • Promptly advise management of breakdowns and maintenance needs.
  • Practice and promote teamwork, setting a good personal example.
