About The Position

The Aquatics Supervisor works in a fast-paced environment supporting members as they improve their swimming in indoor and outdoor recreational and lap pools. The role assists with managing and training Aquatics Team Members, provides customer service to members and guests, and helps maintain clean and orderly Aquatics Facilities.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• At least 6 months of customer service experience.
• At least 1 year of coaching and/or swim instructor experience.
• At least 1 year of lifeguarding experience.
• At least 6 months of head guard or supervisory experience.
• StarGuard Elite Lifeguard, BLS CPR, and First Aid certifications; or bridge to StarGuard when current certification expires or within the first year, whichever comes first. For Canada: Lifesaving Society Lifeguard certification and Standard First Aid with CPR C.
• Ability to work in a stationary position and move about the club for prolonged periods.
• Ability to communicate and exchange information with guests who inquire about Life Time products and services.
• Ability to swim 300 yards/meters without stopping.
• Ability to tread water for 1 minute.
• Ability to retrieve a 10-pound diving brick from the bottom of the pool and swim it to the top without stopping.
• Ability to routinely bend to raise 20 pounds or less and occasionally bend to lift more than 20 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• Some college education or working toward a four-year degree.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Aquatics Team Members provide a safe and friendly environment for members and guests.
• Respond to member inquiries about Life Time programs, products, services, policies, and procedures.
• Ensure a high level of aquatics programming.
• Promote the Life Time swim program.
• Assist in managing and training Aquatics Team Members.
• Help maintain the cleanliness and order of Aquatics Facilities.
• Provide customer service to members and guests.
