About The Position

The Aquatics Programming Supervisor helps members improve their swimming in indoor and outdoor recreational and lap pools. This role assists with managing and training Aquatics Department Team Members, provides excellent customer service, and maintains clean, orderly Aquatics Facilities. The supervisor works in a fast-paced environment and supports safe, friendly member experiences and high-quality swim programming.

Requirements

• Successfully complete and pass all Life Time courses when hired.
• Ability to work in a stationary position and move about the club for prolonged periods.
• Ability to communicate and exchange information with guests who have inquiries about Life Time products and services.
• Ability to swim 300 yards/meters without stopping.
• Ability to tread water for 1 minute.
• Ability to routinely and repetitively bend to lift 20 lbs.
• High school diploma or GED.
• 6 months of customer service experience.
• 1 year of coaching and/or swim instructor experience.
• 1 year of lifeguarding experience.
• 6 months of head guard or supervising experience.
• StarGuard Elite Lifeguard, BLS CPR, and First Aid certification; or bridge to StarGuard when current certification expires or within the first year, whichever comes first. In Canada, Lifesaving Society Lifeguard certification and Standard FA with CPR C.

Nice To Haves

• Some college or working toward a 4-year degree.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Aquatics Team Members provide a safe and friendly environment for all members.
• Respond professionally and promptly to member inquiries about Life Time programs, products, services, policies, and procedures.
• Ensure the highest level of programming.
• Promote the Life Time swim program.
• Assist in managing and training Aquatics Department Team Members.
• Maintain the cleanliness and order of Aquatics Facilities.
• Help members improve their swimming.
