About The Position

This course explores the interactions between language and society by examining common speech patterns and addressing questions such as whether certain dialects are more correct than others, if men and women speak differently, how bilingualism affects reasoning, if upper classes speak better, and if French and English spoken in Canada have changed.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Linguistics.
  • Experience teaching this course or a similar course.
  • Competence in French (language of instruction).
