About The Position

The Apprentice Technician works in the Warehouse and completes the required training program to become a skilled technician, as described in the Levin Apprentice Program Guidelines. The role involves learning and performing merchandise inspection and repair, including different types of repair and upholstery work, while following safe material-handling practices. The position reports to the Warehouse Supervisor and does not supervise others.

Requirements

• Experience with paints, fill sticks, markers, and hand tools.
• Ability to color match using paints, markers, and toners.
• Ability to apply lacquer finishes in a spray booth using an air sprayer.
• Ability to repair upholstery.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and listening skills.
• Basic reading and comprehension skills.
• Ability to complete paperwork accurately, neatly, and efficiently.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to use a wireless hand scanner.
• Previous creative expertise.
• One year of Levin experience as a Stock, Material Handler, or Delivery associate.
• Annual appraisal rating of 3 (meets expectations) or higher.

Responsibilities

• Master the Essential Skills List for different types of repair.
• Inspect, evaluate, and repair merchandise.
• Practice safe and secure material-handling methods in accordance with product-handling standards.
• Report errors found on documents to the supervisor.
• Operate manual and mechanical equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
