About The Position

Mollie Stone’s Markets is seeking a Produce Clerk at its Palo Alto location. The All Purpose Clerk (APC) is a versatile team member who may be assigned to the Deli or another department based on store needs. The role focuses on fresh-cut fruit and vegetables, produce freshness and rotation, department presentation, and customer service. Applicants must be local to the San Francisco Bay Area. This is a union position with pay of $20–$29.98 per hour, depending on industry experience.

Requirements

• Passion for unique, fresh food and a team-centered attitude.
• Ability to identify produce quality or freshness by sight or smell.
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand and walk for up to eight hours per day and reach for up to four hours per day.
• Availability to work a flexible shift, including some evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Local candidate; applicants must be from the San Francisco Bay Area.

Responsibilities

• Cut fresh fruit and vegetables and maintain sanitation and food safety.
• Ensure product freshness and quality upon delivery and when restocking.
• Monitor and maintain proper rotation of fresh produce.
• Update and maintain product signage and department appearance.
• Provide exceptional customer service.
• Work in the Deli or another department as assigned based on store needs.
