About The Position

Mollie Stone’s Markets is seeking a customer-service-driven Part Time Apprentice Meat Clerk at its Tower location in San Francisco. The role involves preparing and packaging meat products, helping customers, stocking merchandise, and learning about department products and basic meat cooking procedures. The candidate should be flexible and able to work efficiently and safely. The position may be full-time for the right candidate.

Requirements

Ability and desire to learn basic knowledge of all products carried in the department and basic meat cooking procedures.
Ability to follow instructions and procedures.
Strong work ethic and integrity.
Ability to deliver exceptional customer service.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and some holidays.
Local candidates only; applicants must be from the San Francisco Bay Area.
Must be able to regularly lift at least 50 lbs.
Standing up to 8 hours per day; seating up to 1 hour per day; walking up to 8 hours per day; reaching up to 6 hours per day.
May be required to wear COVID-19-related personal protective equipment as mandated by company policy.

Responsibilities

Prepare, package, weigh, and price meat department products for sale.
Provide prompt, friendly, and knowledgeable customer service.
Suggest ways to prepare and use products.
Work quickly, efficiently, and safely, including following safe food-handling procedures.
Assist with unloading and stocking merchandise.
