About The Position

Studs is an ear piercing and earring brand that brings piercing, aftercare, and earring shopping together in a safe, expert, welcoming retail and digital experience. Apprentices join a paid piercing training program lasting at least six weeks, with classroom-style learning, observation, and hands-on training at a Studs studio location. Apprentices earn $19 per hour plus tips during training. After successful completion, graduates become eligible for part-time Associate Piercer positions at the Wynwood, Miami studio, earning $24 per hour plus tips.

The role combines client service and brand representation with adherence to piercing procedures, safety standards, record keeping, and studio policies. Apprentices must meet the availability, attendance, physical, and skill requirements described in the posting. Travel to a studio location for the training program is paid by Studs.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of relevant work experience.
• Availability for a flexible schedule with varying days and hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Availability for at least four days, including Saturday and Sunday, excluding approved unscheduled time away.
• Ability to reliably attend scheduled work for up to 29 hours per week, in line with local laws and subject to approved accommodations.
• Ability to visually inspect ear anatomy to perform advanced piercings.
• Ability to perform piercings with a steady hand.
• Ability to lift 20 pounds.
• Ability to handle chemicals safely.
• Ability to travel to a Studs studio location for the training program; travel is paid by Studs.

Responsibilities

• Meet and exceed expectations in a performance-oriented, service-focused environment.
• Represent the Studs brand and educate clients about the Studs experience throughout the selling cycle.
• Communicate confidently, clearly, and professionally with clients throughout their experience.
• Use Studs resources and policies to make decisions.
• Learn and follow piercing procedures and regulations to meet client-experience and work-safety standards.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance, sterilized inventory, and tools.
• Prioritize studio compliance and follow standard operating procedures and company policies.
• Acknowledge mistakes and escalate when help is needed.
• Demonstrate Studs’ core values and provide consistent, high-quality service to everyone in the studio.
• Offer solutions-oriented feedback and remain open to receiving feedback.
• Perform at least 18 piercing appointments per day.
