About The Position

Signet Jewelers is seeking an entry-level Apprentice Jeweler to join its Field Design & Service Center Team. The role provides a full training program to develop skills from Apprentice toward Bench Jeweler. Apprentices learn the business from the ground up, carrying out administrative and customer service responsibilities while learning jewelry intake, polishing, quality control, and the basics of jewelry repair. Candidates with basic jewelry or repair knowledge are welcome, and candidates with a passion and desire to learn the trade will also be considered. The team focuses on delivering a customer-first experience for custom jewelry design and repairs and offers opportunities to advance from apprentice to artisan through a promote-from-within environment.

Requirements

• High school degree or equivalent preferred, but not required.
• Customer-service orientation and strong interpersonal skills.
• High standards for quality work.
• Basic computer skills.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Knowledge of shipping and receiving.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Multitasking and time-management skills.
• Varying hours, including some nights and weekends.
• Full-time schedule is 40 hours per week, with seasonal required overtime.

Nice To Haves

• Some knowledge of jewelry or jewelry repair/design is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service and interact with stores and customers.
• Complete administrative and clerical tasks.
• Photograph jewelry for intake and tracking.
• Learn the basics of jewelry repair, beginning with polishing and quality control.
• Train toward becoming a Bench Jeweler.
• Work toward delivering a customer-first experience for custom jewelry design and repairs.
