About The Position
Signet Jewelers is seeking an entry-level Apprentice Jeweler for its Field Design & Service Center Team. The role provides a full training program to develop skills from apprentice to jeweler, with opportunities to progress toward becoming a Bench Jeweler and advance in a promote-from-within environment. Apprentices learn the business from the ground up, performing administrative and clerical work, providing customer service, interacting with stores and customers, photographing jewelry for intake and tracking, and learning jewelry repair basics such as polishing and quality control. Candidates with basic jewelry or repair knowledge are welcome, as are candidates with a passion and desire to learn the trade. The team is dedicated to delivering a customer-first experience for custom jewelry design and repairs.
Requirements
- Strong interpersonal skills and a customer-service mindset.
- High standards for quality work.
- Basic computer skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle shipping and receiving.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and manage time.
- High school degree or equivalent preferred, but not required.
- Some knowledge of jewelry, jewelry repair, or jewelry design preferred, but not required.
- Availability for varying hours, including some nights and weekends.
- Full-time work consists of 40 hours per week, with seasonal required overtime.
