About The Position

Signet Jewelers is hiring an entry-level Apprentice Jeweler for its Field Design & Service Center Team. The role provides training to develop skills from apprentice to jeweler and, potentially, Bench Jeweler, in a promote-from-within environment. Candidates with basic jewelry or jewelry-repair knowledge are welcome, as are candidates with a passion and desire to learn the trade.

The apprentice learns the business from the ground up, performing administrative responsibilities and customer service while interacting with stores and customers. Work includes clerical tasks, photographing jewelry for intake and tracking, polishing, quality control, and learning the basics of jewelry repair. The team focuses on delivering a customer-first experience that exceeds expectations for custom jewelry design and repairs.

Requirements

• High school degree or equivalent preferred, but not required.
• Some knowledge of jewelry or jewelry repair/design preferred, but not required.
• Customer-service orientation and strong interpersonal skills.
• High standard for quality work.
• Basic computer skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of shipping and receiving.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and manage time.
• Varying hours, including some nights and weekends.
• Full-time work consists of 40 hours per week, with seasonal required overtime.

Nice To Haves

• Basic knowledge of jewelry or jewelry repair/design.
