About The Position

The Apprentice Bartender/Barback ensures necessary supplies are available to the bars and service wells and assists guests and fellow team members. The role supports bar opening and closing, service, inventory and responsible alcohol service while following company standards and applicable policies.

Requirements

Read and speak English and communicate effectively with guests, team members, and management in written and verbal form.
Understand and comply with company, departmental, and Gaming Control Board rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
Ability to multitask.
Must be able to work any day of the week and any shift, including weekends and holidays.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with team members and guests.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Must obtain required work cards.
High school diploma or GED required.
Ability to kneel, carry, bend, walk, and stand for extended periods.
Ability to lift 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Practice, support, and promote Company Service Standards.
Assist with opening and closing duties, including restocking garnishes, straws, napkins, towels, and glasses.
Keep the bar stocked with ice, liquor, wine, and beer.
Communicate with guests to address their immediate needs.
Take orders, prepare drinks, bus tables, open tabs, and process payments, especially during peak business hours.
Accurately enter orders into the POS system while socializing with guests.
Follow responsible alcohol service standards, including slowing service or refusing service to intoxicated guests when necessary.
Maintain usage records and report levels to support reordering.
Ensure delivered items are stored properly.
Respond promptly to emergencies and incidents within designated areas according to policy.
