About The Position

Sandvik Coromant is hiring a customer-focused, results-driven Application Specialist to provide technical support in the Southern Kansas region. The candidate must live in or around the Wichita area. The role combines technical consultation on CNC machining and tooling applications with customer relationship management and business growth. The specialist will work with customers to understand their needs, deliver tailored solutions, and help improve productivity and reduce costs using Sandvik Coromant’s products and services. The position also involves collaborating with internal teams and maintaining the sales pipeline in CRM tools.

Requirements

• Degree in Manufacturing Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience of at least 10 years in a shop.
• Hands-on experience with CNC machining, CAD/CAM, and cutting tools.
• Proven success solving technical application problems in a shop environment.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Willingness to travel, including approximately 10% overnight travel.
• Must live in or around the Wichita area.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
• Deliver customer productivity improvements and cost savings using the Coromant product and service offering.
• Identify new business opportunities and grow market share.
• Collaborate with internal teams to deliver total customer solutions.
• Consult on CNC machining and tooling applications using technical expertise.
• Maintain and optimize the sales pipeline using CRM tools for accurate tracking, forecasting, and follow-up on customer engagements.
• Provide technical support in the Southern Kansas area.
