About The Position

Sandvik Coromant is seeking a customer-focused, results-driven Application Specialist to provide technical support in Southern Kansas. The candidate must live in or around the Wichita area. The role combines technical consultation and customer relationship management to deliver tailored machining solutions and support business growth. The specialist will work with customers and internal teams to improve productivity and reduce costs using the Coromant product and service offering.

Requirements

• Degree in Manufacturing Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience of at least 10 years in a shop.
• Hands-on experience with CNC machining, CAD/CAM, and cutting tools.
• Proven ability to solve technical application problems in a shop environment.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Willingness to travel, including approximately 10% overnight travel.
• Must live in or around the Wichita area.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
• Deliver customer productivity improvements and cost savings using the Coromant product and service offering.
• Identify new business opportunities and grow market share.
• Collaborate with internal teams to deliver total customer solutions.
• Consult on CNC machining and tooling applications using technical expertise.
• Maintain and optimize the sales pipeline using CRM tools for accurate tracking, forecasting, and customer follow-up.
