About The Position

Genesis10 is seeking a Mid-Level Java Engineer for a Hybrid position with a Global Financial Institution. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance API services, backend components, and integrations for their ACH payment origination platform. The position requires a hybrid schedule with a minimum of 3 days per week onsite.

Requirements

5+ years of hands-on Java development experience
Strong expertise in Spring / Spring Boot, REST API development, and microservices
Mastery of multithreading, concurrency, and performance tuning
Experience with relational databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server)
Experience building highly available, distributed backend systems
Familiarity with messaging systems (Kafka, MQ, or similar) and NDM file transfer
Knowledge of API security patterns (OAuth2, JWT, mTLS)
Core Java, Spring Boot, Jboss
Excellent communication and documentation abilities
Ability to work in an agile, fast paced environment
Background in financial services, banking, or regulatory environments

Nice To Haves

Payment domain knowledge (ACH, NACHA)
Payment file formats (PPD, CCD, CTX)
Familiarity with event-driven architectures
