About The Position

Genesis10 is seeking an experienced Fidessa Developer for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution in Jersey City, NJ. This is a 12+ month contract role for an experienced Fidessa developer within an equities technology organization that supports institutional and retail equities trading desks. The group is responsible for developing, enhancing, and supporting multiple production trading applications built on the Fidessa trading platform. A successful candidate will have prior hands-on Fidessa implementation experience, in-depth knowledge of the Fidessa architecture, frameworks, and products, and a proven track record of performing product upgrades with complex onsite customizations.

Requirements

3+ years of Fidessa server-side development experience
Experience with Fidessa Product Suite: CASE, FBL, TOP (OMAR, TMAR, PMAC), PAIRS, NMS, FIX+, APAS, FDA
Knowledge of FIX protocol
Experience with TCL and Unix shell scripting
Experience with Platforms: Linux, Windows 10
Agile SDLC experience
Front Office Development experience
Understanding of equities trading workflows and general equities market knowledge
Excellent analytical, design, and system integration skills
Ability to multi-task and work on multiple projects in parallel
Takes ownership, pro-active individual with a strong interest to learn the business
Candidate should be able to work with little supervision
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline

Nice To Haves

3+ years of core Java development experience
Hands-on FDA and Sybase experience
FTW development is a strong plus

Responsibilities

Support multiple Fidessa trading systems
Integrate Fidessa systems into the client's technology stack
Upgrade product components on a regular basis to keep up with the latest updates
Work with stakeholders and other developers to satisfy business and regulatory requirements
Onboard the systems to DevOps CI/CD tools
