About The Position

Genesis10 is seeking a Senior Java Developer for a hybrid position with a Global Financial Institution. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity requiring a hybrid schedule with a minimum of 3 days per week onsite. The candidate will contribute to determining the technical and operational feasibility of solutions and collaborate with external programmers, offshore teams, support teams, and business partners in an Agile, Scrum, and Lean environment.

Requirements

6+ years of industry experience in developing applications and services in an Agile, Scrum, and Lean environment
Excellent skill in Core Java, Spring framework, Spring Boot, Oracle, JPA/JDBC/Hibernate, and REST APIs
Experience as a Backend or a full stack developer
Experience with Linux and Middleware (Tomcat, WebLogic/WebSphere/JBoss)
Strong knowledge of design patterns and best practices in web services, full stack system architecture, and system integration
Experience with orchestration technologies, GIT, and continuous integration (CI) / continuous delivery (CD) pipelines
Good understanding of object-oriented principles, system design and diagraming, data structures, and algorithms
Experience in full system implementation lifecycle (analysis, design, build, test, implement, and support)
Solid experience in Logging, Caching, Transaction Management, Multi-Threading/Concurrency, Performance Tuning, and Monitoring

Nice To Haves

Degree in Computer Science or related field
Knowledge and/or experience handling certs
Cloud-based infrastructure experience

Responsibilities

Serve as a fully seasoned/proficient technical resource, providing technical knowledge and capabilities as a team member and individual contributor
Collaborate with external programmers and offshore teams to coordinate delivery commitments
Work closely with Support teams, offshore teams, Platform teams, and Business Partners
Regularly communicate work progress with management, identifying issues early and resolving them quickly to avoid or minimize impact to projects
