About The Position

Genesis10 is seeking a Senior Java Developer - Hybrid for a contract to hire position with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC. This role is responsible for providing senior-level technical direction and oversight to a team delivering technology solutions. Key responsibilities include overseeing the design, implementation, and maintenance of complex, high-volume computer programs, aligning technical solutions to business objectives, and ensuring coding practices comply with software development standards. This position requires a hybrid schedule with a minimum of three days per week onsite.

Requirements

5+ years of hands-on software development experience
Experience with the Spring Framework, including Spring MVC, Spring Boot, Spring Security, Spring Integration, and Spring Data JPA
Good understanding of SOAP web services and REST/JSON standards
Experience building restful web services
Working knowledge of front-end technologies like handlebars, foundation, and ReactJS
Experience with XML and JSON binding libraries (JAXB, Jackson, GSON)
Experience with unit testing using JUnit
Proficiency with Git, Maven, Nexus, and an IDE such as Eclipse
Experience with monitoring tools like Splunk and Dynatrace
Familiarity with MQ (Websphere MQ or ActiveMQ)
Experience in performance tuning with a good understanding of JVM internals
Experience with Groovy
Strong background in Object-Oriented Programming and concepts
Experienced in Distributed System development using Java/J2EE/Web Technologies
Conversant in Java design patterns
Basic knowledge of AI agents and using AI for code reviews

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science or a related field
Exposure to Agile methodologies
Ability to communicate complex technology solutions to diverse technical, business, and management teams
Good interpersonal communication skills for a collaborative team environment
Good analytical skills to break down requirements and solve complex problems

Responsibilities
