About The Position

Genesis10 is seeking an Application Programmer III for a 12+ month contract opportunity with a Global Financial Institution in Pennington, NJ. This role is responsible for developing, enhancing, testing, and supporting applications that enable business capabilities and operational processes. The position involves working closely with business analysts, product owners, and technical teams to implement software solutions that meet functional, non-functional, and compliance requirements. The Application Programmer will develop and maintain user interfaces, application components, and integrations using established development standards and best practices, while actively adopting modern engineering practices.

Requirements

• 5+ years of Angular development experience building enterprise web applications
• 3+ years of experience integrating Angular applications with Java (Spring Boot) APIs and microservices
• Experience developing responsive and user-friendly web interfaces using JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS
• Experience implementing OAuth2/OIDC authentication and authorization mechanisms
• Experience with Jasmine, Karma, or similar testing frameworks for front-end unit and integration testing
• Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills with the ability to resolve application issues across environments
• Experience participating in Agile development teams using Scrum or similar methodologies
• Experience with Docker containerization and deployments on Kubernetes/OpenShift platforms
• Familiarity with cloud-native application development concepts and microservices-based solutions
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or comparable tools
• Experience using GitHub Copilot or similar AI-assisted development tools to improve developer productivity
• Experience supporting application deployments, defect remediation, and production support activities

Nice To Haves

• Exposure to AI-enabled applications, intelligent assistants, or automation technologies is a plus
• Proven experience building end-to-end applications (front-end + backend integration)
• Experience conducting performance and load testing
• Strong understanding of responsive design and UI performance optimization
• Ability to troubleshoot production issues and drive root cause analysis
• Strong collaboration and communication skills across cross-functional teams

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain application features for a business advisory portal
• Build and enhance Angular-based user interfaces and integrate with backend services
• Participate in requirements analysis, sprint planning, story refinement, and estimation activities
• Perform code reviews and follow development standards and secure coding practices
• Develop and execute unit, integration, and regression tests to ensure software quality
• Troubleshoot and resolve application defects and production issues
• Support application deployments, monitoring, and maintenance activities
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver business functionality on time and with high quality
• Create and maintain technical documentation for developed solutions and operational support
