About The Position

Genesis10 is seeking an Application Programmer for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity focused on building high-scale, fault-tolerant systems. The role involves full-stack development, splitting time between back-end and front-end development, and encompasses the complete software development lifecycle, from creating high-quality code to adhering to modern CI/CD concepts.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Mathematics with 7+ years of hands-on experience, or a Master's degree with 5+ years of experience
• Strong hands-on experience in the complete Software Development Life Cycle with Java (8/17), J2EE, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Angular
• Proficiency in HTML, JavaScript, jQuery, and other JavaScript frameworks
• Strong proficiency in Java programming, including multithreading and concurrency
• Proficient in developing microservices with Spring Boot
• Expertise with IDEs like Eclipse and IntelliJ
• Experience with SQL writing and optimization with Oracle or other major databases, and tools like SQL Developer or Toad
• Familiarity with MongoDB
• Basic knowledge of working with Linux
• Self-motivated, goal-oriented with a high degree of accountability
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Write high-quality, fault-tolerant code for both back-end (50%) and front-end (50%) development
• Build high-scale systems, libraries, and frameworks
• Create test plans and utilize unit testing frameworks like JUnit
• Adhere to modern CI/CD concepts and proactively suggest automation solutions
• Work with version control systems like BitBucket, including pull requests
• Utilize build tools like Maven and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Ansible, and Sonar scan
