About The Position

Genesis10 is seeking an Expert Java Developer for a hybrid position (3 days per week onsite) with a Global Financial Institution in Jersey City, NJ. This is a 12-month contract opportunity. The role involves defining a target state architecture for a key trading application, creating an implementation plan, and supporting the application to ensure it meets strict performance and resiliency requirements.

Requirements

Expert-level Java developer with experience modernizing legacy applications
Hands-on experience with real-time, distributed applications, preferably trading systems
Experience with high-performance JAVA
Experience with messaging applications like Kafka or AMPS
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated ability to learn quickly
Proactive and requiring limited oversight

Nice To Haves

Experience with cloud computing and containerizing applications
An understanding of derivatives, traded products, and trading systems

Responsibilities

Help define a target state architecture and an implementation plan for a real-time trading application
Support the application to ensure it continues to meet strict performance and resiliency requirements
