About The Position

AECOM Technical Services, Inc. is seeking an Application Developer to design, develop, and deploy custom Microsoft Power Platform applications for client and business requirements. The role builds Canvas and Model-Driven Power Apps, automated Power Automate workflows, scalable data solutions, and Power BI dashboards. It also evaluates Microsoft Fabric capabilities for enterprise data integration and implements Azure AI solutions in Azure AI Foundry. The developer configures and maintains GitHub integration with the Power Platform, establishes CI/CD pipelines, and improves release management through automated deployment pipelines. The role troubleshoots existing solutions, deploys applications across concurrent client projects, incorporates stakeholder feedback, and tests deliverables against documented requirements and acceptance criteria. The position involves identifying business problems and designing low-code/no-code solutions; leading requirements collection and evaluation with project teams, users, and stakeholders; providing technical estimates; and confirming deliverables meet acceptance criteria. The developer also supports organizational Power Platform capability through knowledge sharing, mentoring, and internal enablement, while keeping current with evolving platform offerings. Telecommuting is permitted from anywhere in the United States, with an in-person Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office required for new hires.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field of study.
At least 2 years of experience as a Software Engineer, Software Developer, or in a related occupation.
Experience with Power Apps, including Canvas and Model-Driven.
Experience with Microsoft Dataverse.
Experience with REST API.
Experience with Power Automate.
Experience with Microsoft Power BI, including DAX and Power Query.
Experience with Microsoft Fabric.
Experience with Azure AI Foundry.
Experience with GitHub.
Experience with JavaScript.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and deploy custom applications within Microsoft Power Platform to meet client and business requirements.
Build Canvas Power Apps and Model-Driven Power Apps.
Build automated workflows in Power Automate and implement scalable data solutions.
Develop Power BI dashboards and evaluate Microsoft Fabric capabilities for enterprise data integration.
Implement Azure AI solutions within Azure AI Foundry to enable intelligent automation.
Configure and maintain GitHub integration with the Power Platform, establish CI/CD pipelines, and improve release management through automated deployment pipelines.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues affecting established Power Platform solutions.
Deploy tailored Power Platform solutions across concurrent client projects using automated deployment pipelines.
Incorporate stakeholder and user feedback into ongoing development.
Test deliverables against documented business requirements and acceptance criteria before release.
Identify business problems and design solutions using the Power Platform and low-code/no-code development approaches.
Lead collection and evaluation of business and technical requirements with project teams, users, and stakeholders.
Develop solutions, provide technical estimates for pipeline work, and confirm deliverables satisfy defined acceptance criteria.
Support Power Platform capability through knowledge sharing, mentoring, and internal enablement activities.
Maintain current knowledge of evolving Power Platform offerings and apply it across clients, problems, and technologies.
