About The Position

Sweeping Corporation of America (SCA) is hiring a full-time Application Developer in Tampa, Florida, with a hybrid work-from-home arrangement and minimal travel (0–10%). The role supports SCA’s field teams and contributes to the company’s street-sweeping and environmental services mission. The position designs, develops, maintains, and integrates scalable web applications and backend systems, supports cloud and serverless solutions, and helps deliver data warehousing, database, automation, and DevOps capabilities. Responsibilities and priorities may change as business needs, processes, and technologies evolve. The position works with modern frontend and backend technologies, including React.js, Next.js, Node.js, RESTful APIs, GraphQL, OAuth, and JWT. It develops integrations using platforms such as MuleSoft and Boomi, deploys Azure Functions and Azure applications, and supports event streaming through Azure Event Hub. The role also involves PostgreSQL and SQL Server database management, Snowflake data modeling, scripting, and CI/CD pipelines. Requirements

Experience building scalable applications using React.js, Next.js, or another modern UI framework.
Hands-on experience with Node.js and designing and implementing RESTful APIs.
Experience with PostgreSQL schema design, indexing, query optimization, and database administration.
Knowledge of Azure App Service, web application deployment and configuration, scaling strategies, and Azure Functions.
Experience with Azure Event Hub for data ingestion and event streaming architectures.
Experience designing and implementing integrations across multiple systems.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps.
Experience with MuleSoft API development, orchestration, and connector configuration.
Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, and PowerShell scripting.
Experience with GraphQL, OAuth, JWT, and serverless computing using Azure services.
Ability to collaborate across teams, communicate clearly, solve problems, adapt, and demonstrate reliability and accountability.
Ability to meet the listed physical requirements: lift up to 10 lbs.; use computers, phones, and standard office equipment; and have normal or corrected vision and hearing sufficient for office work.

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with SQL Server.
Familiarity with Salesforce technologies and features including Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), SOQL, Data Cloud, and AgentForce.
Experience with Snowflake data modeling, dynamic table design, and modern data warehousing use cases.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems and web applications to meet business and user requirements.
Design and develop integrations between diverse systems using platforms such as MuleSoft and Boomi.
Build, deploy, and maintain Azure Functions for serverless computing solutions.
Develop and maintain automation scripts using Python, JavaScript, and PowerShell.
Work with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and authentication protocols such as OAuth and JWT.
Design Snowflake schema models to support data warehousing needs.
Manage and optimize PostgreSQL and SQL Server databases.
Support DevOps initiatives, including developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
Maintain regular and predictable attendance, arrive on time as scheduled, and be prepared to work throughout assigned shifts.
Collaborate across teams and departments to deliver complex projects and communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
