About The Position

The Senior Software Engineer owns KRS (K Retail Solutions), a live retail platform that supports in-store POS, the store Back Office, KRS Admin, and the KRS Store App across multiple store tenants. The role combines hands-on knowledge of KRS with AI-driven development, directing AI coding assistants to deliver features while personally owning architecture and design decisions that support system reliability. The engineer reviews, tests, and corrects AI-generated code and designs, as well as vendor deliverables, before release. As a senior team member, the engineer makes technical decisions, is accountable for release quality and production stability, and mentors and supports other developers. The role builds and enhances KRS features across POS, checkout and payments, refunds and exchanges, Back Office, KRS Admin, and the KRS Store App. It owns KRS architecture on the Odoo framework, including KRS Admin on Odoo 18, in a multi-tenant environment; designs integrations with payment terminals and processors, Snowflake, and enterprise systems; documents technical decisions; and evaluates vendor designs and estimates. The engineer owns release quality, deployments through Jenkins from Dev to Staging to Production, module upgrades across store tenants, and post-deployment verification. The position leads root-cause analysis and hotfixes for production issues, particularly involving card payments, refunds, and end-of-day settlement, and maintains automated tests. It also works with Sales Operations, store teams, the project manager, and vendors to translate specifications and Figma designs into deliverable scope, participate in project meetings, track schedule risks, set technical and AI-usage standards, support other developers, and maintain technical documentation.

  • 8 or more years of software development experience, including senior-level ownership of a production business system.
  • Hands-on experience using AI coding assistants for day-to-day development and demonstrated ability to review, test, and correct AI-generated code.
  • Experience designing software architecture and system integrations, including payment processors, ERP, data platforms, or third-party APIs.
  • Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases; PostgreSQL is preferred.
  • Experience with code review, Git-based merge-request workflows, and CI/CD pipelines; Jenkins is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Experience with AWS (EC2, RDS) and Docker.
  • Experience with Snowflake or similar data-platform integrations.
  • Experience with JIRA and Figma-based specifications, and managing external development vendors.
  • English and Korean language skills are listed under qualifications.

  • Review every AI-generated change, design, and estimate before it is merged or accepted; check against business specifications and code, identify defects and risks, correct issues, and review vendor merge requests with clear feedback.
  • Own KRS release quality, including feature branches and merge requests, Dev-to-Staging-to-Production deployments through Jenkins, module upgrades across store tenants, and post-deployment verification.
  • Lead root-cause analysis and hotfixes for production issues, particularly card-payment, refund, and end-of-day settlement issues, and maintain automated tests.
  • Serve as the KRS and store-operations subject matter expert and collaborate with Sales Operations, store teams, the project manager, and vendors to define deliverable scope from specifications and Figma designs.
