About The Position

The Application Developer develops business application software, defines problems, designs systems and programs, and troubleshoots applications from technical and operational perspectives. The role provides solutions to application issues and supports web and internet-based products and services with minimal direction, based on documented user requirements. It also provides application-related technical and professional assistance to internal stakeholders.

The position requires weekly onsite/in-office work in Grapevine, Texas. Relocation is not available. The job description notes that its listed duties and requirements describe the general nature and level of work and may be modified by management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of Java software development experience.
• Intermediate knowledge of cloud concepts, JavaScript frameworks, and relational databases.
• Effective oral and written communication skills, including the ability to deliver information clearly and concisely, listen, and communicate effectively with others.

Nice To Haves

• Azure/cloud certifications.
• Java certifications.
• At least 3 years of experience with Azure, ReactJS, MongoDB/Oracle, and test-driven development (TDD).
• At least 3 years of experience with microservices, cloud, and Docker.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot application issues from technical and operational perspectives and provide solutions.
• Provide technical and professional assistance related to applications to internal stakeholders.
• Support web and internet-based products and services with minimal direction, based on documented user requirements.
• Write business application software containing logical and mathematical solutions to business problems and questions.
• Develop statements of problems and design systems and programs.
• Write programs in computer languages for solutions using data processing equipment.
• Solve complex problems using reverse engineering.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
