About The Position

The Apparel Lead is a member of the Apparel team at Goodwill Industries-Manasota, Inc. The role involves working independently to handle apparel and linens for sale in the store. The employee obtains general knowledge of apparel categories and sizing, assesses the quality and value of items, checks items for imperfections, prices and tags goods according to type, and hangs salable goods on racks.

Requirements

• Excellent customer service skills.
• Must be willing and able to work days, evenings, and weekends.
• Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without accommodation.
• Must be able to sit, stand, bend, and reach for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to regularly lift, push, pull, carry, or otherwise move up to 40 pounds without support.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Prior experience in a retail environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtain a general knowledge of apparel categories and sizing.
• Determine the quality and value of items to be sold in the store.
• Check items for imperfections as part of quality assurance.
• Price, size, and tag apparel and linens according to type.
• Hang salable goods on racks.
