About The Position
At Goodwill, every item you hang, sort, or display supports job creation and community programs. This full-time position helps process and display clothing while contributing to Goodwill’s mission. Starting pay is $15 per hour, with annual raises and production bonuses. The role involves hanging pre-sorted clothing, organizing items with the color tag system, and moving clothing to and from the sales floor while maintaining neat displays. The Apparel Hanger also counts and reports daily production, keeps the work area clean and safe, reports safety or security concerns, and assists with other store tasks as needed.
Requirements
- No prior experience is needed.
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Ability to work as part of a team and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
- Physical ability to stand, hang clothes, and move racks.
- Reliability, honesty, and respect for others.
- Willingness to learn, grow, and contribute to a supportive team environment.
- Strong close and depth vision.
- Ability to regularly lift up to 10 pounds and sometimes lift up to 50 pounds.
Responsibilities
- Hang pre-sorted clothing to meet daily production quotas.
- Group and rotate clothing using the color tag system.
- Move clothing to and from the sales floor and keep displays neat and organized.
- Accurately count and report items processed each day.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area by following store procedures.
- Report safety, theft, or security concerns to management.
- Assist with donation processing, sorting, or cashiering as needed.
- Perform additional tasks assigned by store management.
