About The Position
IMS Care Center is seeking a full-time advanced practice provider—a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant—to join its Neurology department in Avondale, Arizona. The position serves adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients and includes providing assessments, diagnoses, treatment plans, examinations, consultations, counseling, education, and care coordination. Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant educational program.
- Pass a board-approved certifying exam.
- Hold a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in the State of Arizona.
- Have one year of experience in Neurology.
Responsibilities
- Provide patient services to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
- Perform patient assessments, diagnoses, and treatment planning.
- Perform physical examinations and consultations.
- Provide patient counseling and education, family planning, and well-woman exams.
- Order and interpret patient care tests, treatments, and exams.
- Handle prescription needs and provide advice regarding chronic pain problems.
- Provide general health education and coordinate care.
- Travel to IMS clinics in various locations as needed.
