APP Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant - Neurology
About The Position
IMS Care Center is seeking a full-time Advanced Practice Provider (APP), either a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant, to join its Neurology department in Avondale, Arizona. IMS is a physician-led organization headquartered in Phoenix with 500 employees and a commitment to high-quality, innovative health care. The role provides patient services to adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients. Duties include patient assessment, diagnosis and treatment planning; physical examinations and consultations; patient counseling and education; family planning and well-woman exams; ordering and interpreting patient-care tests, treatments, and exams; managing prescription needs; advising patients about chronic pain and general health; and coordinating care. Travel to IMS clinics in various locations may be needed. Applicants must have graduated from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant educational program, passed a board-approved certifying exam, hold an Arizona license in the relevant profession, and have one year of neurology experience. Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant educational program.
- Pass a board-approved certifying exam.
- Hold a license as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the State of Arizona.
- Have one year of experience in Neurology.
Responsibilities
- Provide patient services to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
- Perform patient assessments, diagnosis and treatment plans, physical examinations, consultations, patient counseling and education, family planning, and well-woman exams.
- Order and interpret patient-care tests, treatments, and exams.
- Handle prescription needs and provide advice regarding chronic pain problems and general health.
- Coordinate patient care.
- Travel to IMS clinics in various locations as needed.
