About The Position

Apartment Live-In Assistants promote an inclusive living and learning environment for students living on campus at the University of Wyoming. They staff the front desk at the Apartments Community Center, assist residents with keys and access, sort and distribute mail and packages, provide customer service, perform health and safety checks, serve in on-call rotations, and support administrative, facility, and operational tasks. The role also involves upholding the Apartment & Residence Hall Policies & Procedures and the Student Code of Conduct.

Requirements

• Maintain a minimum semester GPA of 2.5 and a cumulative GPA of 2.5 throughout employment.
• Be enrolled as a full-time student: 12 credit hours for undergraduates or 9 credit hours for graduate students.
• Complete and be expected to pass a criminal background check.
• Maintain positive financial, academic, and student conduct status with Housing, Dining, and Residence Life and the University of Wyoming.
• Be available for training sessions, desk scheduling, and monthly staff meetings.
• Be a strong team player willing to cover or trade shifts as needed and support the residential community’s mission.

• Previous desk assistant or resident assistant experience.

Responsibilities

• Staff the main customer service desk in the Apartments Community Center.
• Answer residents’ questions, provide guidance and directions, and assist with community safety and security.
• Log packages into the system and release them to residents; assist with mail and package delivery.
• Perform health and safety checks.
• Serve on week-long on-call rotations.
• Assist with administrative, facility, and operational tasks within the building.
• Assist residents and staff with key access and complete daily key audits.
• Promote an inclusive and welcoming environment for all students.
• Review, understand, and uphold the Apartment & Residence Hall Policies & Procedures and the Student Code of Conduct.
