About The Position

Monarch Investment & Management Group is hiring an Apartment Maintenance Technician at Breckenridge Apartments in Fairborn, Ohio. This is a full-time, on-site role scheduled Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with participation in an emergency on-call rotation once every third week. The pay rate is $19.00 to $21.00 per hour, with a quarterly bonus of up to $750 based on site performance.

The technician completes work orders, apartment turns, make-ready tasks, and preventative maintenance. The role involves repairs across plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, HVAC, and appliances, as well as exterior repairs, grounds maintenance, and snow removal. The technician also provides coverage for the 24/7 emergency on-call rotation.

A physical demonstration of the ability to complete job duties is required during the interview process. Employment requires pre-employment criminal background and drug screenings.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years of general maintenance experience.
• Minimum of 6 months of apartment or similar maintenance experience.
• Skills in drywall, painting, carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work.
• Appliance repair knowledge, including washers and dryers.
• Ability to physically demonstrate job duties during the interview process.
• Ability to complete pre-employment criminal background and drug screenings.

Responsibilities

• Complete work orders efficiently and professionally.
• Perform apartment turns and make-ready tasks across multiple unit types.
• Repair plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, HVAC, and appliances.
• Support preventative maintenance programs for buildings and community amenities.
• Assist with exterior building repairs and seasonal tasks.
• Participate in grounds maintenance and snow removal.
• Provide coverage for the 24/7 emergency on-call rotation.
